An extra- oral X-ray costs about $90-200 in Australia.
Note. You can actually get a panoramic X-ray (OPG) taken at your nearest X-ray centre free under Medicare, if the dentist writes you a referral. A lateral cephalogam needed as part of orthodontic treatment can also be obtained in this way.
